  • Weekly hours

You can choose between 25, 35 or 45 hours of day-care a week. The selected hours can be placed as you wish within a two-week period.

All holidays and closing days count as an average day according to your number of weekly hours (i.e. 5, 7 or 9 hours).

  • Aula – electronic check in and check out

When you arrive in the morning, the first thing to do is to register your child on the Aula screen. When you leave in the afternoon with your child, the last thing to do before leaving is to check out on the Aula screen. In the system, you can always see how many hours of your total you have spent and how much time there is left in the period. Please note that holidays and closing days are not subtracted automatically. An Aula-period is always two weeks starting in an odd week. Despite the electronic check in and check out, we expect you and your child to greet good morning and goodbye to a nursery or kindergarten teacher.

  • A normal day in headlines

From 6 am to 9 am, our main focus is to receive the children. Some
need help to say goodbye and others need help to start up the day’s
    activities.
At 9 am, children and personnel gather around the tables for varying
activities to take place. Bread and fruit are served at this point.

After that, the activities of the day start. Some of these are scheduled activities, and others arise spontaneously among the children and staff as the day goes by. You can read about the activities on the whiteboards, in the journals and on DayCare.

At 11 am, lunch is served in the seven groups. After the lunch, it is naptime for the nursery children and the children in the kindergarten who still need it. At 2 pm, we serve an afternoon snack and afterwards the activities and playing start again.

The youngest nursery children may have a day that deviates from the above, as these children have individual needs when it comes to meals, rest and activities.

  • Clothes, cloakroom and basket

Store extra clothes for your child in the cloakroom and make sure clothes and footwear match the weather and time of year. Help your child to manage their belongings of the basket and cloakroom before you leave in the afternoon – doing so will make it easier for your child the day after. We kindly ask you to bring the basket home with you on Fridays for the cleaning staff to be able to clean up the cloakroom.

  • Birthdays

We celebrate the birthday of your child, if he or she is here that day. If not, we pick another day that suits you and the group. The birthday child will receive one present from the group. In Storkereden, there is a no-sugar policy, which we kindly ask you to respect, if you celebrate your child’s birthday here. If the birthday is held in your private home, we hope you will keep the amount of sweets to a minimum.

  • Toy day

The last day of the month is toy day, which means that the children in kindergarten can bring one piece of toy. We will announce this on the whiteboards a few days in advance.
